In this episode of Daniel Davis Deep Dive, I sit down with former CIA analyst Larry Johnson to unpack the explosive claims made by Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard—alleging that former President Obama and senior officials orchestrated a years-long coup against Donald Trump.
I’ve reviewed many of the documents Director Gabbard released, and while they reveal serious misconduct, I have thus far been unable to find any direct links in the documents released by ODNI of former President Obama having either the intent or taken actions in an attempt to orchestrate a coup against Donald Trump. Larry approaches the issue from a different perspective—one rooted in firsthand experience and years of his own analysis and investigation. “This was a cooked-up job,” from the beginning, he tells me, as far back as 2015. “A fabrication. A political hit on Trump.”
In this episode we dive into the origins of Russiagate, the Steele dossier, and the intelligence community’s role in shaping a false narrative. Larry explains how agencies like CIA, NSA, and FBI coordinated assessments while deliberately excluding dissenting voices from DIA and State. “They published (political allegations) as if (they were) true,” he says, “with the imprimatur of the intelligence community.”
We also explore the role of foreign intelligence services—British GCHQ, Australian operatives, and others—in collecting and passing information that fueled the anti-Trump narrative. From George Papadopoulos to Seth Rich, Larry walks us through the timeline and tactics used to entrap, discredit, and ultimately argues they intended to remove Trump from office.
And yes, we touch on the Epstein scandal—why Trump’s silence is raising eyebrows, and why the public (especially his own supporters) isn't letting it go. “There’s more than enough evidence available,” Larry says, to prove that something immoral and illegal happened during the Epstein reign and many powerful individuals abused people. “A billion-dollar payout (to scores of victims) is not a hoax.”
This episode is packed with revelations, hard questions, and a call for accountability. Whether you support Trump or not, the implications for our democracy are profound.
